Batizado

Like many capoeira schools, our annual Batizado & Troca de Corda is a celebration of our students’ training and growth over the year. For new students, it is a chance to be initiated into the art of capoeira and receive one’s first Corda (equivalent to a rope or belt in other martial arts). Older students will often advance to the next level corda.

This September 16 2023, we will host Conejo Valley’s 1st ever Batizado e Troca de Corda and and it’s an honor to welcome special guests traveling all the way from Brazil – Mestre Cocada and Professora Rosa.

There will be workshops for adults and kids held prior to the ceremony.

Please note that uniforms will be required for participation in the workshops and event and will be available for purchase prior to the event. Family and friends of the participating students are welcome to watch,
